As 2011 comes to a close, magazines, newspapers, and blogs across cyberspace are producing their annual flurry of retrospective “best of” lists. There are so many round-ups, it’s been difficult to keep track of the growing stream of things we’ve missed over the past year. In order to find the best of the “best of,” our editors created a Trove channel that features the Best of 2011, from digital trends to beach wedding themes.
Worried that you haven’t had a chance to check out all of the highs — and lows — of the past year? Don’t despair — we have a rundown of some of our favorite “best of” lists:

If you’re a fan of celebrity gossip, 2011 didn’t disappoint. From baby bumps to quotable quotes, it was a banner year for the stars — and their meltdowns.
For tech geeks, it’s been a bittersweet year, both sad and filled with plenty to rant about. If you’re a gamer, lists abound: Gamasutra’s gathered its list of the top 5 handheld games, PC World has collected top Facebook games, and CNN has cobbled together the top 10 video games of the year.
If you’re planning to lie low on New Year’s Eve, EW has a list of the top fiction books to read and The Atlantic dishes on the best and worst in 2011 TV.
And for a soundtrack to go with Time Magazine’s Person of the Year, we’ve discovered a list of the top Greek protest songs. Eat your heart out, Yanni.
