Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 Update Makes One Battle Rifle Even Better

Highlights

  • The Lachman 762 battle rifle in Call of Duty: Warzone has received buffs in Season 6, making it even more powerful and deadly.
  • IceManIssac, a Call of Duty expert, is thrilled with the weapon buff and believes the Lachman 762 is now one of the best choices in the game.
  • Despite its shorter range compared to other battle rifles, the Lachman 762 is highly accurate and effective at medium to close range, even outperforming submachine guns in certain situations.

Some Call of Duty: Warzone experts believe the Lachman 762 is one of the best battle rifles in the game, and now the latest update has made it even better. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and its battle royale companion continue to get new updates as the seasons roll on. Last week marks a new beginning with Spawn, Zombie Royale, and more coming to Call of Duty with Season 6.

In addition to new skins, a new mode, and plenty of bug fixes, the latest season also features lots of tweaks, nerfs, and buffs to existing weapons and equipment. Some of these changes have been well-received, while some Call of Duty fans are annoyed with a new invisible skin and other issues. One expert in the series, however, is very happy with a particular weapon buff that dropped this season.

Streamer, YouTuber, and Call of Duty: Warzone player IceManIssac has recently uploaded a new video that explains how one of his favorite weapons, the Lachman 762, just got even more impressive thanks to Season 6 changes. This update increased close-range damage as well as neck-shot, torso, and limb damage. These changes dramatically improve the overall deadliness of the battle rifle while not giving it any nerfs. IceManIssac was stunned to see a great gun getting buffs, but he’s still delighted to have even more reason to equip this particular battle rifle.

In the video, IceManIsaac explains why he loves the Lachman 762 so much and how best to use it in Warzone. He explains that, while it may not have the best range for a battle rifle, it’s still incredibly accurate, and at close to medium-range it’s extremely effective. He even argues that it can make a better room-clearing weapon than submachine guns, which are traditionally seen as the best option for those sorts of encounters. Season 6 of Call of Duty: Warzone makes one SMG much better, but IceManIsaac still contends that the venerable battle rifle has the superior time-to-kill stats.

With a great weapon getting even stronger this season, many seasoned players will surely want to start putting together a great Lachman-762 build for Call of Duty: Warzone and jumping back into the battlefield with a new strategy. IceManIsaac recommends pairing it with a sniper rifle for long-range damage but, however one uses it, the Lachman-762 should be seeing lots of use in the coming months.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
