Highlights
- Eevee, the popular “Evolution Pokemon,” will be the next Tera raid boss in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, offering players a limited-time battle opportunity.
- This special Eevee will have the Normal-type as its Tera type, retaining its Mightiest Mark upon evolution.
- While Eevee may be statistically weak, trainers can strategize with Fighting-type and Ghost-type Pokemon to deal with this new raid boss.
Following the conclusion of the Hisuian Typhlosion Tera raids, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will soon face Eevee in a limited-time next Seven-Star Tera Raid Battle. With the Normal-type as its Tera type, this special Eevee will only be available for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players to face for one weekend, rather than the usual two weekends.
Known as the Evolution Pokemon, Eevee first appeared in Pokemon Red and Blue and appeared in every generation of the main series. It was the mascot of Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee, and is known best for having evolutions of eight different types at the time of writing. From Vaporeon to Sylveon, Eevee and its “Eeveelutions” are considered among the most popular Pokemon of all time. This popularity has led to various forms of Pokemon fan art, such as turning Eevee into different Eeveelutions for types that it cannot evolve into. As is the case with choosing what to evolve Eevee into, Pokemon trainers will have some choices to consider when it comes to facing the new seven-star Tera raid boss.

The battle against Eevee the Unrivaled will begin on Thursday, November 16, at 7:00 PM Eastern, and conclude three days later, on Sunday, November 19, at 6:59 PM Eastern. Unlike other Seven-Star Tera Raid battles such as Typhlosion, the battle against Eevee the Unrivaled will not run for a second weekend in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This is due to Eevee Day, which is observed on November 21 in Japan and will be observed in other Pokemon titles such as Pokemon Sleep. Eevee the Unrivaled will be the second seven-star Tera raid boss that is not a fully evolved Pokemon, as a Water-Tera Pikachu was fought during Pokemon Day in February 2023.
However, Eevee the Unrivaled will have the Normal-type as its Tera type, and the Mightiest Mark it carries will be retained upon evolution. Though Eevee has access to the hidden ability Anticipation, one of its standard abilities is called Adaptability, which can add more power to Normal-type moves such as Hyper Voice and Tera Blast. Though Eevee is statistically weak on its own, there is a chance it could hold an Eviolite to bolster its defense and special defense. Fighting-type Pokemon such as Iron Hands and Annihilape, and Ghost-type Pokemon such as Hisuian Zoroark should be reliable choices for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players to deal with this new Tera raid boss.
While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera raid battles have ranged in difficulty, the battle against Eevee may be among the simpler ones. Only time will tell how trainers will fare.
