Sony is expected to unveil the PS Plus Extra and Premium games for this month on October 11, with their release taking place on week later on October 17, but fans can go ahead and get a sneak peek at the list. PS Plus Extra and Premium are likely to add about 20 games as they did in September, but 7 have been made known by a highly-regarded leaker.
All leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, regardless of their origin, but leaker Billbil-kun has an impressive track record. They’ve accurately leaked PS Plus games, Epic Games Store free games, and more in the past, so they’ve earned the trust of many worldwide. According to them, it seems that the PS Plus Extra games are leaning into Halloween, at least a little.

According to Billbil-kun, seven of the games coming to PS Plus Extra this month include Elite Dangerous, Dead Island: Definitive Edition, Disco Elysium, FAR: Changing Tides, Gotham Knights, Gungrave G.O.R.E., and The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes. While the latter is the only actual horror game, it’s hard to ignore the popularity of zombies with Halloween (Dead Island), as well as the popularity of superhero costumes when younger (Gotham Knights). Overall, for just a taste of the month’s offering, it’s looking pretty good.

While Billbil-kun’s word is more than enough for many, it should be noted that Gotham Knights on PS Plus is a good example of this leak being legit too. Gotham Knights recently came to Xbox Game Pass, and while it’s not necessarily too common for a game to join both services in such close proximity, it’s not unheard of either.
In regard to the other games mentioned here, Elite Dangerous is a space flight simulation game, while Disco Elysium is a well-reviewed and beloved isometric open-world RPG. Far: Changing Tides is a smaller title on the indie end, as an adventure game where players take their boat through an apocalyptic world, and third-person action shooter Gungrave G.O.R.E. rounds out this leaked “preview” of the PS Plus Extra and Premium games for October 2023.
