While creating their character in Starfield, a gamer accidentally made someone who looks like a space explorer version of Matt Damon. Since the game’s launch, many players have purposefully created funny pop culture figures in Starfield, but this hilarious accident came completely unexpected to the player.

When it comes to character customization, players can get incredibly detailed with their character, and some have used the character creator to recreate the likeness of major celebrities throughout history, like David Bowie’s iconic Ziggy Stardust persona. This has brought some unique fun to Starfield by allowing players to explore the galaxy as someone from pop culture. However, one player remade the likeness of one of Hollywood’s most famous actors by complete accident.

A Reddit user known as Trigga1976 shared their character build to the Starfield subreddit, explaining that their wife pointed out the character’s uncanny resemblance to Jason Bourne himself, actor Matt Damon. Trigga1976 stated that after their wife pointed out the resemblance, they are now unable to unsee the obvious similarities between the two.
Creating unique characters in Starfield is one of the best parts of the game for many players, but the fact that Trigga1976 created Matt Damon by complete accident is hilarious. Not only did the gamer create a Matt Damon lookalike, but this particular recreation greatly resembles Matt Damon in the sci-fi film Elysium, making the character right at home in a sci-fi adventure setting.
Whether it’s creating a celebrity lookalike or making a domino course out of sandwiches, Starfield lets players do it. One of the great things about Bethesda games is that they allow players to truly use their imaginations in strange and unique ways, but sometimes players also stumble upon things accidentally. Although Trigga1976 didn’t plan on bringing Matt Damon to life in Starfield, they succeeded. Accidents like this show that well-crafted and detailed character creators can create some incredibly fun personas, even if they weren’t exactly intentional.
