- A player has discovered a broken stealth build in Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0, making the protagonist virtually invisible to enemies.
- The build requires maxing out Technical Ability and unlocking skills in the Perk tree, along with rerolling legendary Cyberware to reduce visibility.
- With just 1% visibility, mobs are oblivious to the character’s presence, making it easy to move unnoticed and eliminate enemies.
One Cyberpunk 2077 player managed to put together a completely broken stealth build that effectively makes V permanently invisible to enemies. Their unique setup takes advantage of some notable changes introduced in the Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0, meaning that Xbox One and PS4 players won’t be able to copy this build by virtue of not having access to the latest version of the game.
The 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 released on September 21, introducing a massive amount of changes that altered the game on a fundamental level. Among many other things, its long list of tweaks includes a complete Perk system overhaul which encompasses almost every single in-game ability, on top of revamping the overall progression curve of unlocking V’s talents.

Following some experimentation with the new mechanics, Reddit user Livebythecreed39 came up with an utterly broken stealth build that boasts 1% visibility to enemies, essentially making V invisible. The setup requires maxing out the protagonist’s Technical Ability, then unlocking nearly skill in the middle of the associated Perk tree, ending with the Edgerunner talent that significantly boosts Cyberware capacity. That benefit is crucial to this Cyberpunk 2077 build, not least because the next step requires rerolling legendary Cyberware via ripperdoc clinic upgrades until each piece of V’s chrome offers at least a 3% reduction to their overall visibility as part of its random bonuses.
In case the first attempt at augmentation doesn’t produce the desired results, players can reset any given ripperdoc’s inventory by simply waiting for 24 in-game hours. And though this method can even reduce V’s visibility to negative percentages, Livebythecreed39’s testing suggests that anything below 0% will completely break the game’s underlying calculations, consequently making the protagonist entirely visible. The inventive fan hence recommended that players aim for a 1% visibility.
Elaborating on the implications of this build, Livebythecreed39 reported that such a minuscule visibility value makes mobs completely oblivious to V even while they are running right past them. The build also makes enemies unable to see the protagonist killing their friends “right next to them,” the fan explained. Since the core of the setup requires just 11 Perk points, it leaves plenty of room for players to make their own broken builds in Cyberpunk 2077 that aren’t merely stealth-focused despite being effectively invisible.
This achievement also serves as a counterpoint to some of the recent player criticism aimed at the 2.0 version of Cyberpunk 2077. Namely, a vocal portion of the fandom previously claimed that the newest update significantly nerfs stealth, but this ridiculous 1% visibility build indicates that sneaky characters are now potentially stronger than ever.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, while its 2.0 update is exclusive to PC and current-gen consoles.
