- The addition of the portal will provide a convenient way for players to access the Emerald Dream and participate in the Superbloom event, but it is unclear when it will be unlocked and Blizzard will continue to gather feedback during the test cycle of Patch 10.2.
Soon, World of Warcraft players who want to experience new content that will come with the Guardians of the Dream content update will be able to use a portal in Valdrakken to go to and from the Emerald Dream. The addition was noticed by a reputable World of Warcraft content creator, who posted a screenshot on social media of where the portal in question will be located once Patch 10.2 goes live.
In World of Warcraft‘s Guardians of the Dream update, players will travel to the Emerald Dream to defend the fledgling world tree Amirdrassil from the combined forces of the Primalists and the Druids of the Flame. This assault will culminate in a fiery raid battle with Fyrakk, as the Shadowflame continues to corrupt his body and mind further. Thankfully, players are able to give the new content a try before the update goes live, as Patch 10.2 is currently available on the public test realm (PTR) of World of Warcraft. On the PTR, players can provide feedback and report bugs ahead of the patch. Thanks to some feedback provided to the developers, there will be a new way for players to access the Emerald Dream.

On Twitter, World of Warcraft content creator MrGM posted that a portal that will take players to and from the Emerald Dream has been spotted in Valdrakken. Appropriately, this portal to the Emerald Dream’s Central Encampment is located in the Emerald Enclave, just south of the Seat of the Aspects. Normally, World of Warcraft players would have to take a flight path or use a Dragonriding mount to reach the Emerald Dream from the Green Dragonflight’s seat of power in the western half of the Ohn’aran Plains.
Thankfully, the addition of the portal in the Dragon Isles’ main hub area will give World of Warcraft players who have started the main campaign of Guardians of the Dream a way to quickly access the Superbloom event and other activities within the Emerald Dream. But, it is unclear how long it will take for WoW players to unlock access to the portal. However, feedback will continue to be taken by Blizzard during Patch 10.2’s test cycle.
Between the Emerald Dream portal in Valdrakken, and some improvements to the Trading Post, the quality of life changes coming in World of Warcraft Patch 10.2 will benefit players of all kinds. It remains to be seen what changes Blizzard will make in the future.
